My learning journal

Hello! My name is David and this is my learning journal.

This is my learning journal. I will continue to update this as I continue on my journey to be an expert Frontend devloper. I hope that this will serve as a diary of everything I have accomplished and give me motivation to keep going when I look back.

How I stay committed to learning

I made it a habit. I code everyday for a MINIMUM of 1 hour a day. It's however very rare that I only code for an hour. it's usually between 2-5 hours a day. Some days are better than others, and that's ok!

How I got started

I started off with Python. I took the cs50p class and realized I should have started with the regular cs50 class. Once I did that, I started learning a little about a few different languages until I decided to focus on the front end path. Now I'm going through the Scrimba course and loving it!

Getting Started

Getting started is always one of the hardest parts of any journey. I myself ended up in tutorial hell for a few months, before finding out that I want to be a frontend devloper. Then I came across Scrimba, and here I am.

typing on keyboard

Typing Enthusiast

I work a remote data entry job. Combine that with coding and 80% of my day is easily typing on the keyboard (and moving the mouse around in circles). A mechanical keyboard is a must! Makes typing much more fun. I have 2.

A Nice Chair

After getting a work from home job, learning to code on the side and then add in some gaming to relax, I learned real quick that I'm going to need a better chair. I personally invested in a Herman Miller Embody.
